Summertime
Well summer is here and so is the heat. We have been getting plenty of use out of our little pool. Baseball season is almost officiallly over. Austin is but Kaydan has a game tonight and one on the 15th. I will actually be glad when it is over.
Both boys got new bikes this summer. They were needed. Kaydan looked like a giant on his little tiny bike he had. And Austin had been riding my older boys old bike. They have been having a blast with them. Austin healthwise has been doing very well. I don't wanna say that too loud and jinx myself. He has a dentist appt this month and also clinic and Tiger Study. He has been bad about trying to skip his treatments though. But I have been on him for that. I know this is not CF related but I would like to ask for everyone to send prayers out for my brother David. He is in the last stage of his cancer. He was diagnosed with esophagus cancer about a year ago and has gotten progressively worse. It is now in his Spine. He had traveled back her in April to Michigan to see a specialist and there was no hope. He was given 4-6 months. He lives in Germany and has repeatedly expressed his desire to make it back home to the states to be with family. His flight is scheduled for July12th we are hoping and praying he can make it home. He is extreme pain and the docs say they don't know if he will even make the flight or he could possibly die on the flight. I think he is holding on til he gets "Home" He has a 13year old daughter and a 26 year old son who is in the military. My oldest brother flew to Germany to help my brother and his wife back on the flight. I have another brother whom is stationed in Germany and has been with him everyday. He said he is really deteriorating fast and really prays he can withstand the flight. So please all I am asking for is prayers that he make it back to the states to be with his family as his last wish. ------------------------- Paula, Mother of 5 boys.....one w/cf Austin 9 Grandma to 1 boy and 2 girls. |

I'm glad you have the pool. My kids keep bugging me, but I told Mason that it's a pool or a vacation to Red River, New Mexico, and he said he'd rather go on vacation. He can hit the community center pool anyway.
I was always glad when baseball season was over. It was so hot out there on the field, and with more than one kid playing you are either at a game or a practice almost every night. You know I'm praying for your brother. I really hope that you are all able to get together, and say goodbye in person. I'm so sorry. (((((hugs))))))
