Summer just seems to fly! Max has been busy with swimming lessons -- getting a little braver -- and gymnastics. Being that they're scheduled about an hour apart and I'm running like crazy to get him where he needs to be -- I refer to it as swim-nastics.

Last week we had the county fair, so we rode the rides, visited the livestock barns, ate deep fried oreos, french fries and drank lots of lemonade.

Done the usual bbq's at home with friends and visiting friends. Camped in the back yard, Gardening. Not much of anything planned, staying close to home.

After two months we finally received Max's culture reports and found he's culturing two different strains of steno malophilia and some other tongue twister of a bug. Ugh! So he's on a new abx that drives me nuts as it's supposed to be taken on an empty stomach. Also started tobi two weeks ago which means his nose is really stuffy and productive. Sinus rinse time (and gross out mom), yea!

Oh and along with the culture results were clinic notes from his dermatologist. I took him in again for all those tiny little white milia on his cheeks that wouldn't go away with the differin cream prescribed last year. The doctor's notes indicated that MOTHER REFUSED treatment option. Hello, the doctor who looked about 12 said the only other option was to slice the skin with a needle and remove the kernels of keratin. While Max looked HORRIFIED. I said, No they're not going to do that and I went home with a script for Retin-A. If the doctor could've just kept his mouth shut I could've had him "look" and do the procedure without max really realizing it. So now on my permanent record is DIFFICULT mom. Sigh!

sounds like you guys are having a busy, but FUN summer!! Also, I don't blame you for not wanting them to slice open his skin...that sounds terrifying to me, and I'm 25!

LOL @ sinusrinse time/grossing out mom...I used to always be like "mom, look at what just came out of my nose!!" while doing the sinus rinse...good stuff

You difficult mom! LOL Oh well, I say.

It took forever for my kids to get teeth, then forever for them to start losing them. Once they started losing them though, they lost one right after another.

I hope that the new abx stomps those new bugs down. I'm sure the meds to food schedule seems impossible. Ugh!
