I would like to dedicate this blog along with its contents to a wonderful man, My Dad. I didnt have the privelage of developing an adult relationship with him. Sadly he passed before some major events in my life such as my High School Prom, Graduation, Marriage & most definitely the birth of my daughter. Tho I know he looks proudly from above....it angers me & hurts me that I cant feel his hug. I convey to Jazmine the stories of "Poppy" so even tho she never met him, she feels like she knows him. He was a great man & I am proud to say he was my Dad! RIP & I love you, Daddy!

It is possible to live with daily awareness of life's fragility without it being sad or oppressive!
The last Christmas my Dad was alive (1984) I gave him a plaque that had a picture of a man walking on the beach holding a little girls hand. Below that it read.....ANYONE CAN BE A FATHER, BUT IT TAKES SOMEONE SPECIAL TO BE A DAD! When Dad died I asked my Mom for that plaque which hangs on my living room wall still today.
